May. 14th, 2013 12:25 pmI barely have the brainpower to function in my daily work, so never mind languages today. I need sleep, and it might be naptime when I get home. Since dinner is largely made anyway, all it requires is putting the pasta on. So, in lieu of that, I need to actually pull together my writing schedule ish for the next few days.
Black Ice - I'm down to the last of the edits, and publication is scheduled for September. Labor Day weekend ish, depending on how automated the process can be, that way I'm not worrying about it over Dragon*Con. Allowing two months to prep the book itself for publication (not including build-up, just document prep) that realistically gives me the next month and a half or so for editing the last chunk of it. I'm... not sure how feasible that is? I think at this point we're down to the place where I can't take more than a couple of days off here and there. Yaaay.
White Lightning - Well. I'm never doing THAT again. And by THAT I mean the part where I have Nano for a full novel draft plus blogging plus any other major project going on, because it's just not going to happen. And now I'm stuck in the position where either I finish it now or let it sit till next year, at which point there will be a noticeable difference between writing style/quality between the two and I will be even more frustrated than I already am. ARGH. So, this has third priority after the immediate deadlines.
Sandborn - Definitely lowest on the priority rung, which means I need to be careful about not letting it slip out of the bottom. Maybe there will be attempting to block out two hour chunks of time for this on the weekend, to get this done and all the extra material in. I don't even know how long I'm aiming for on it, and maybe since I'm going for self-publishing it doesn't necessarily have to be a particular length? But there's definitely a bunch of places where I wanted to expand. I don't remember where all of them are, so it's probably just going to be making it up as I go along.
And at some point in here I have to examine both Lulu and CreateSpace to figure out how to format and finish up the document to publish, which severely makes me want to cry.
Blogging - Original stuff, let's face it, it takes about an hour for me to bash out an entry. At this point I just need to set aside time to accumulate a backlog. There are invariably an infinite number of topics I can blather on about, I just need to tangent off wildly in whichever direction. And set aside time. Which I have less of than I'd like. Oh time.
Blogging - Murderboarding Blehhhh. On the other hand, Grimm will be done soon. On the other other hand, BLEHHHHH. Mostly having to do with why the hell did you bastards move Grimm to Tuesday so I'm working this around the weekdays? Why? You bastards. Still, that's actually not going so badly as the current schedule goes. Being sick threw me right the hell off, though. I want my two days back.
And as always, Gods and Monsters - This was going great and ahead of schedule right up until I got sick. And it's still rather on time, and I have the rest of this first chunk of chapters planned out and everything, so it's not that bad. I just.
No, in conclusion, I want those two days back that gardening and being sick stole from me. Not so much the gardening, but definitely the day and a half of being sick.
So, I guess for the next couple of weeks till I get caught up on projects it'll be keeping myself to a tight schedule, logged and calendar'd. And... something. Maybe I'll get caught up at some point or another? Not likely, but it's always fun to tempt the whatever high atop the thing.
