Feb. 11th, 2013 05:40 pmWer sind diese Leute? Sie, Ihre Freundin Katie und Ihr Freund Jens sind auf einer Party. Katie kennt niemanden.
Mrs. Meier, whose sun is studying in Marburg, is a lawyer.
Mr. Schnell, whose daughter works for Volkswagen, drives a Golf.
Mr. and Mrs. Gescheit, whose children speak good English, have a big new house.
The tall man, whose son is unemployed, has gone bankrupt a couple weeks ago.
Mr. Ettel, whose wife is head physician, studies.
This young woman, whose father is a prominent lawyer, got married last week.
And this young man, whose parents are very rich, is the lucky one (husband, implied?).
Oh god, suddenly instead of Aidan Turner everyone is turning into Richard Armitage. I mean, I'm not objecting too much. But eek.
So. I've got some idea, at least, of how long it'll take me to get line edits done on this. Which is to say, quite possibly less time than I thought. Eek. Which means, of course, that all the brainweasels come in because no, she might actually get something accomplished? We can't have that! Which means I start whacking. But on the other hand, these are old and familiar brainweasels and so fuck them. They can go do their own weasely thing in someone else's brainpan, I have shit to get done.
And it is amazing, though, how much I enjoy doing the recaplyses more than the essays. I mean, not that the essays aren't fun and interesting, it's always fun and interesting to ramble on at length about things you think based on stuff you've seen, etc. And just to point your finger at something frantically and go LOOK. DID YOU SEE THAT? ARE YOU SEEING THIS? LOOK AT THE PATTERN! But recaplyses... I don't know, there's something familiar and comforting about them. Plus getting to watch hot guys all over my screen for hours on end never gets old.
