Dec. 19th, 2012 09:53 amExercises getting easier is probably a sign I need to step up/change my exercise routine, but not right now. End of next week, I think. On the plus side, I'm getting back up to the number of push-ups I could do before everything went scattered and nuts! I need to come up with other dance exercises though, and stop being afraid of the harder yoga things. Something to put to my fellow courtesans.
(Have I mentioned Courtesan School on here yet? If I haven't, please feel free to ask! Sometimes I feel like I talk about it so much everyone must know about it already.)
Yuletide Yuletide Yuletide. I'm in surprisingly better shape than I thought, which only means that I need to keep up the way I have been going in order to actually pull this off. Which isn't bad! But oi, how is Christmas next week already. Less than a week away already! There's that, and I have to wrap presents and send off at least one package today, and wrap another present and hand it off to someone... well, Monday. And wrap presents for the boy, and figure out stuff. And. Things. Yeah, I have no idea. I should make a list of all the shit that's not Yuletide or basic house things that I need to do before Christmas. Mind you, there's a lot of house things.
Speaking of house things, we discovered that the ants have discovered it's cold outside, and warmer inside. Any advice? We've got some kind of organic spray that we've tried and have yet to rate on its efficacy, and I know about mint, but other than that I've no idea. I do need to clean up the kitchen some, probably this afternoon, but that's more a matter of kitchen tools being left out everywhere and not food being left out everywhere. Thankfully all the food is in the fridge now! Because we have a fridge. That works. And is plugged in. Okay, not all the food, the cereal and dry goods and things are out, which that's what the ants got into, the honey nut cheerios. Oops.
Grugh, what else. I keep thinking of allegedly interesting things to talk about and then I sit down and they all fly straight out of my head. I do need to make time to make curtains this weekend. I need to sit my dumb butt down and chop and cook and freeze chicken tonight, and chop and freeze the peppers. Or maybe... yeah, that's what I'll make for dinner tonight, and then chop and cook the chicken while I'm doing my Yuletide edits. Hey, look, I have a plan! But there's a lot of stuff that I need to chop and cook because while we did our big shopping on Sunday morning at some stupid hour of the morning, I spent most of that day fixing up the house instead of batch cooking like I usually do. So, crap.
It's finally winter! As in, it's actually cold outside. No snow yet, but it's actually cold outside, which makes me feel at least somewhat better. If I didn't want seasons I'd've moved to stay with my other aunt in California.
So, I guess that's enough rambling at everyone. Time to get back to work. I have a shitpot of writing to do, less time to do it in, and then a duplicate shitpot of stuff to do tonight while I'm editing. Fortunately it looks somewhat like I'll have time this week at work to do said writing.

They're useful for me because there's a big ant AND roach problem in Texas, so I really can't afford to leave food out. You can get Good Grips by the piece a lot cheaper at Marshalls, Ross, TJMAXX, or similar than you can online.
Last resort? Bengal Roach Spray. As the name suggests it's primarily for roach control (which it does phenomenally; it's better than Raid or anything else I've tried), but it also works for ants and a few other things that are listed on the package. I don't know if they sell it this far east, but if they do, it's worth grabbing a can. Not only is it extremely effective, the residual spray keeps on killing for weeks or months.
