Oct. 10th, 2012 08:14 amLet's try this again. And without the massive number of fuckups. But with a revelation, I like revelations! Suddenly being able to figure out what that Irish album title is in English. I like that.

And lo, the zerg rush occurred. Fortunately we managed to beat it and got our usual hotel room for Dragon*Con, so yay! I really, really hate the annual zerg rush. But I can't think of too many ways to make it better, except maybe by using a better system. Slightly better. I'm not sure how bad Passkey really is, I've never had a problem with the system itself, just with the whole part of getting to the website through the hordes of people trying to hit it all at once. Bleh.
I did a thing. It amuses me, at least. And it will never cease to be amazing that, despite the fact that I generally don't run with the fandom crowd on shipping and especially not slash shipping, when it comes to these two I ship it like FedEx, as the saying goes. They start fighting on screen like in the season three premiere and I want to go "SHUT UP AND KISS IT BETTER ALREADY, GAWD." It does not help when Eric Balfour tweets things like "I think Duke wants Nathan..." Stoppit, Balfour, you're encouraging me.
Raging headache today. Raging headache towards the end of yesterday, too. Bleh. Or, not entirely a raging headache, but definitely a throbbing and distracting one that seems to have moved from the back of my head to the front. Now see here body, you just quit this bullshit. I have things I want to get done, and this is ridiculous. I think, though, I may have hit a stride on the whole writing/editing thing. Which would be nice! Particularly since, hey, I stopped by the house the other day and work has commenced! I mean, it had commenced before what with the removing of radiators and boilers and things, but now there's boards and sawdust and tools and stuff all over the house and some walls (well, sheetrock and paneling) are missing and some starts of the beams encasing the new radiator pipes are up on the walls and it is going to be awesome. Awe. Some.
Anyway. So, yeah, I think I've hit my stride on that, a certain portion of line edits every day and then fanfiction stuff. And I figured out something that had been really bugging me about Long Road in a moment of ridiculous clarity last night, so that works out. And either I'll do that for Nanowrimo, which I might actually try to do anyway since it should come out pretty easy when I start, or I'll work on this other thing I had going. I might just swap it out for Nano. The other thing isn't building a central conflict very easily. And, um. Squirrels. I need to whack my to-do list into shape. But for now, for my own recall, line edits on Black Ice plus fanfiction plus digging up the rough outline for Long Road so that I have some idea of what the hell is going on there. And get your schedule into shape, self. For at least the next week.
