Tired. Pleased, rather, I did talk to Contractor Dude and he already talked to Feasibility Lady (apparently it's a Lady, I don't remember and can't be arsed to look it up) and explained how a bunch of the things they wanted listed in the bid already were listed in the bid, just not in those terms. Like how the ceiling that had "organic lifeforms" on it was actually being replaced, thereby solving the organic lifeforms problem. No more old ceiling, no more mold. Yes, sweetie, we thought of that. Move the fuck on.

Kind of back to being tired again, kind of not so much. Part of it being the head cold that kicked my ass over the weekend, part of it being the Yet More House Shit. Part of it being that I'm still dithering because I don't want to ask my family for more help. Don't wanna. Want to be an adult, dammit. She said, whining like a five year old. It's... demeaning isn't the word I want, it feels like a failure. That's what it is. Someone talk me out of my tree.

Everything else with the house is going well, though! Goddess willing we might even close this goddamn everlasting deal.

You know what else, while we're talking me out of things? Someone talk me out of working on this randomass Sandor Clegane fic (show based, not book based, I actually can't stand the books although the show makes me cackle with glee) that popped into my head over the weekend. I have no idea what the hell is going on in my head anymore. Although, okay, yes, he is kind of like Nameless's psychotic brother.

Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today!

Asking family for help is totally allowed. I don't know the exact nature of said help you'd be asking, but we actually ended up asking Ben's mom for a loan to cover, not anything with the house itself, but old credit card debt that we didn't want standing in the way of getting a decent loan for the house. And we've since paid most of it off, on a timely schedule, like adults. We had a contract written up and everything. I think we knew we could make it work without the help, but it was a HUGE relief to get it. Adults know when to ask for help even when it's not life-or-death.

Why don't you like the books? I loved the first three books more than the show, though I never read beyond that because of how DAMN long it takes the man to finish writing - by the time 4 came out, I forgot wtf happened!
