Niall: Is fear poist mé. I am a postman.
Úna: Cén t-am a thosaíonn tú ag obair ar maidin? What time do you begin work in the morning?
Niall: Tosaím ar a sé a chlog. I begin at six o'clock.
Úna: Tá sé sin luath go leor. Agus cén t-am a chríochnaíonn tú? That is fairly early. And what time do you finish?
Niall: Críochnaím ar a dó a chlog. I finish at two o'clock.

Úna: Cén post atá agat? What post do you hold?
Dónall: Is feirmeoir mé. I am a farmer.
Úna: Cén t-am a éiríonn tú ar maidin? What time do you get up in the morning?
Dónall: Éirím ar a leathuair tar éis a sé nó tamallín roimhe. I get up at half past six or a little before.
Úna: Cad a dhéanann tú ansin? What do you do then?
Dónall: Téim amach agus crúim na ba. I go out and I milk the cows.
Úna: Cén t-am a chríochnaíonn tú? What time do you finish?
Dónall: Ó, bhuel, ní chríochnaím go dtí thart ar a naoi a chlog sa tráthnóna. Oh, well, I don't finish until around nine o'clock in the evening.

Úna: Cén tslí bheatha atá agat? What's your occupation? (lit. What way of life do you have?)
Siobhán: Is banaltra mé. I am a nurse.
Úna: An dtosaíonn tú ag obair go luath? Do you begin working early?
Siobhán: Déanaim. Tosaím ar a hocht a chlog ar maidin. I do. I begin at eight o'clock in the morning.
Úna: Cén t-am a théann tú abhaile? What time do you go home?
Siobhán: Téim abhaile ar a hocht a chlog sa tráthnóna de gnáth... ach uaireanta críochnaím ar a ceathar a chlog sa tráthnóna. I go home at eight o'clock in the evening usually... but sometimes I finish at four o'clock in the evening.


No German yesterday on account of dealing with house bullshit. But at least progress is being made! And actually now that I think about languages and posting I should, since I'm doing handwritten Japanese now, make accountability posts with that scanned in. Like I haven't been doing with Arabic. Oops.

House buying, though. I swear, even college applications weren't this time consuming, nerve wracking, or annoying. And I'm pretty sure they didn't take this long. I guess on the plus side if we're able to close this EVER I'll have plenty of time to knit my hope chest. On the other hand, argh. Just plain argh. There, everyone emailed and updated, and I have stuff to turn in on Friday.

I should get back into collecting dragon eggs, now that I'm back into posting regularly. Maybe tonight.

And I think I've got my writing schedule all bolstered up, now that deadlines are over. And not adding on anything with deadlines until Yuletide, or at least, not anything with people depending on me. Nano doesn't count, I can drop out of Nano without worry. But Big Bangs and such, people depend on that shit. But this way I can just focus on my self-pub and the house buying process. I can focus on self pub and one other major complicated logistical thing at once. Housebuying process, self-pub, AND Big Bangs are a no-no. Lesson learned.

Right. That's enough thinking in circles for me, let's see if I can clear some of this crap off my desk.
