I hadn't thought about it, actually, I just figured he was entertaining himself. Like you said, bored, going to play on the ceiling. But, yeah, when he pulled out that spelled quill and was all "What a lovely quill!" I knew he knew what they intended and he planned how it would go down. I just have no clue what the curse gets him, apart from 28 years as the feared and despised landlord to, well, everyone. Which clearly isn't fulfilling him in any deep or lasting way. It's got to be something else. Argh.

Oh yes. Probably both, first one and then the other. Granny may be wary of him with the rent and all but she definitely wouldn't take any of his crap as far as it lands on her baby girl.
