kittydesadeGrr. Stupid VCR/PS2 not working with TV. So can't watch From Hell or Snatch. Grrr. Suffering Jasons withdrawl.
The sailor's over at a friend's, as one of his friends from far away breezed into town yesterday. So, I'm in his parent's house in the basement in the computer room all alone. Inasmuch as anyone can be alone in a house with four cats and two dogs. Which reminds me, got to get my kitty, if she'll stay still.
There. At least she's saying on the computer desk, if not still on my lap.
So, we took the kitty to the vet on Friday to see about her tail... got it amputated, no problems.. and now she's healthy and happy! It's such an amazing relief. Her tail's a tiny little nubbin with stitches on the end and a shaved butt, so cute. And she was soooo drunk when she came out of the vet's... I wish I'd had a video camera. She was listing all around and wobbling and meowing constantly and bumping into things gently because she couldn't quite get up the speed to bump into them hard. It was so cute. She was all right within a few hours, we both had naps (being as I got 3 hours of sleep thursday night due to being up till dawn RPing with April. We're so silly) and she had some food and then she was pretty much okay in time for game.
And she has gained weight and gotte bigger! I'm not hallucinating! 12 ounces, the vet weighed her :) It was wonderful... Pirate!John went squee over her, as I'd thought he would, and Joe and Jim did too... and she kept falling asleep on my lap or on a cushion between me and Pirate!John. It was the cutest thing. And then today we dozed off together, and last night since Joe and Jim stayed late (as the yusually do) I went up to sleep with the kitty and she sleeps on the pillow right above my head. I adore this kitten.
Let's see.. what else. Not much. Game was fun. I shoudl post some of the quotes here, but I don't feel like going up and getting the quotebook. Eisen (yes, the Eisen from whence the pirateslash Eisen was taken, and if Pirate!John ever finds out about this he's going to kill me) took some passengers on board the ship that turned out to be evil demons we had to fight, and there was this whole naval battle. And Eisen also fell in battle! Well, was knocked unconscious. For the first time since I"ve been in the game! Woot! I got to save his ass. It was hilarious. And there was this whole thing ... ah, it was fun.
Today was pretty relaxing too. Got some more work done on the LXG fic. Meant to work some on Understanding, but as I couldn't get the DVD player to work (grr argh grr) I never did.
What the hell was that...
Oh well. Hmm. What else... job on Thursday went well, so yay. And I'll probably get requested back by the company. Andddddd. And. Not much else. No other job callbacks. I hate jobhunting. But at least UltimateStaffing and OfficeTeam seem to be lucrative. I think I'll stick with bugging them in between searching myself.
OH! Damn. I was watching From Hell while the kitten was in surgery to distract myself.. because ALan Moore + Jack the Ripper is always distracting.. and came across the most hideous deleted scene... Netley masturbating... WHY was that scene necessary to film? Explain it to me?? I could even think of some reasons why, although I didn't particularly want to see them, but the way it was filmed... I watched it with my hands over my eyes, but still peeking... it just didn't make sense. Nastiness for no reason. I wanted to watch it again today with the director's commentary, to see if there was some reason behind it. No such luck. Maybe I'll just put it on and go into another room so I can just listen to the director's commentary and not watch .. ugh. Someone please explain to me why that scene was necessary. I just came away with the distinct feeling that Netley needs to go buy himself a whore.
Oh well. Probabyl back to fic writing now. Which reminds me...
