To ask someone how s/he spends free time, say Как вы проводите свободное время? or Как ты проводишь свободное время?

The verb проводить is used only for spending time, not money.

The word время is neuter (свободное время) like all Russian nouns ending in -мя.

In English, one can say "I spend my free time reading" but this structure is not possible in Russian. Instead, say simply Я читаю (I read) or В свободное время я читаю (In my free time I read). Other possible answers to this question include Я занимаюсь спортом (I play sports), Я слушаю музыку (I listen to music), or Я играю на кларнете (I play the clarinet).

By definition, свободное время is time when you are not studying, working, or sleeping, but rather pursuing hobbies or other interests. (Which actually makes courtesan school kind of interesting, is that свободное время or something else?)

And now they've added David Anders to the D*C guest list. It's getting bigger and bigger, and I keep wondering how many of those will cancel before it gets down to the con, but damn. It's going to be interesting. And crowded, as usual. Hopefully I can get Tom Felton's autograph this year, I didn't the last time. Not to Mike, though. Still don't know what's up with my brainpan. The people who are secretly dragons is more easily explained by too much Dresden Files tv series last night, but I don't know why Keith Carradine was a grifter and an embezzler. Or why we got threatened by the Mob/Marcone. Or why I was threatening him back or what I had to threaten him with. It's all still a little obscure. On the other hand, I might have to save that for future fanfiction purposes. Other than that, I have two Human Target fanfics to write, or maybe just one, and one Clu-fic to possibly write, and a whole bunch of original stuff to get written and depending on whether or not my co-worker's in today, it might even happen! It might not. I have semi-serious doubts as to whether or not she can or should go in to work while her condition is still up in the air, but at least she's got an appointment with a specialist soon.

And now if I can just stop sneezing, I can get ready for work. Argh. Stupid damn plant sex. In my nose. My nose is not for plant orgies!
