"We publish fiction, essays, and poems by America's teen writers, age 11-19 exclusively." Published each November. Estab. 1984. Circ 5,000.
Needs: Adventure, experimental, fantasy, historical, horror, humor/satire, literary, mainstream, mystery/suspense, romance, science fiction, slice-of-life vignettes, suspense, western, young adult/teen, one-act plays and dramatic monologue. "Would like to see more humor." Must be written by students in grades 6-12. Recieves 1,200 unsolicited mss. per
month. Length 100-5000 words; average length: 1,500 words. Accepts 50 mss/issue, 50 mss/year. Publishes 6 mos after acceptance. Publishes 50 new writers/year. Also publishes poetry. Sometimes comments on rejected mss.
How to contact: Send complete ms. Send for cover-sheet template. Submissions via website only. Responds in 3 months to queries; 3 months to mss. Accepts multiple submissions. Sample articles and writer's guidelines available on website.
