Despite having called and said he was going to come over (on a suspended license?! who's the damn fool who's driving him?!), the Idiot has not shown up at the door. The rest of this paragraph has been deleted for emo/hysterical content.
I not only did my exercise today earlier than I've managed all week, I danced for an hour and a half. Probably an hour and fifteen if you count three five minute breaks, but. Holy hell. I haven't done that in years. Not structured dance, anyway.

realmofthemuse. I also made contact with a PI whose brain I intend to pick tomorrow. I have been writing random other things, mostly fanfiction, but at this point any writing is progress.
The weather is warm again, and not rainy, which means priming and painting can occur.
Despite going through the first bag of Smarties at a great rate of knots, I am managing to slow the fuck down to something like a sensible rate for the second bag. Which I actually haven't even opened yet. Sugar highs and crashes, no more. I have willpower.
Four days since the last rejection letter and counting.
Taurus 2007 actually smells good on me.
Yesterday we got to see a hawk in the backyard. It sat for about ten minutes on a bluejay (I think) it had clubbed out of the sky and stared around as if to say "Yes. I'm a hawk. What of it?" and then took off. Carrying the bluejay. I went out afterwards and there was not a feather on the ground. Pretty thing.
Small victories. Small victories turn into big ones.
