kittydesadeMy brain has exploded and is dripping out my ears.
Past couple of days. Three days? Four? Time's starting to run together. Writing, NaNoing like a mad fiend, editing the damn novel. Which is taking so, so much longer than I thought it would. I thought I would wind up writing another 20k or so, 30k at most. I'm going to write at least 40k on the novel and that's just what I've done so far and what I know I need to do. Editing, serious editing takes so much longer than I thought it did. And I'm still behind on NaNo. Dismay, oh the dismay.
RP wise, I'll probably be tagging sporadically for a bit. Maybe once or twice a day on days I have to work, which is every day but Tuesday and Sunday, almost.
I'm still here. I'm never editing a novel for submission over NaNo AGAIN. Ever. Gah. This is going to drive me crazy. I'm slowly catching up on NaNo though. I'm writing crap. I know I'm writing crap, I'm watching what I write and it's making me twitch. But I'm speed writing, so that's okay. Somewhere in all that there's some kind of coherence, plot, a few decent lines. Writing is more exhausting than I ever thought possible. I've been collapsing into bed at 2 in the morning or so on days I don't have to work, sleeping till 8 or 9, and I wake up wanting to roll back into bed and sleep for five hours.
Plus side? I can see this taking shape. I can see, even if it's not as good as I wanted it to be, it's getting there. It's good, getting better. It's not nearly as fast as I thought I would be. First time my cockiness has got me into real trouble, writing-wise. But it's chug-chug-chugging along. Keep going. That's the ticket. Keep going.
ETA: I think I've already found the second publishing house I'm going to submit a novel to. Someone remind me that I can't edit two novels and write five by the end of November?
