So, I stayed up way later than I should have last night because I was completely freaking out that something would go wrong with the tech school (it did) and then for no goddamn reason I ended up waking up an hour early this morning and that wasn't a good start to the day. I had no email in my inbox telling me where to log in, no contact from my admissions rep, I have no idea what's going on. I did check the date on the paperwork I digitally signed and it does say the 27th of July so I didn't accidentally hit August there. But no login email, I can't find any place on the website to sign in and start learning, and I have no idea what's going on.
I would have emailed the admissions rep I've been talking to but I got my monitor today, which meant it was time to set up the second computer, which worked up until it came time to connect to the internet. Which did not work. Or rather it worked sporadically. And unpredictably. Which is useless for my purposes. The current theory is that it's the router dying a slow and hideous death rather than anything to do with the box itself, which would be nice because the chromebox wasn't even my idea to begin with. I don't mind it? If I can learn linux off of it as well as web code of various languages that'd be great. But right now it's even more useless for my purposes than a generic but internetless computer, at least I can use a generic internetless computer as opposed to a chromebox that isn't set up to work offline.
So that was a good chunk of my afternoon. By the time I figured out some of what was going on it was about 4 o'clock and I was already exhausted, I honestly don't know how I haven't passed out yet, and I had to make dinner. Made dinner. Got the cat medicated. Painted my nails a bit because I've been meaning to and it made me feel better, and these oil slick nailpolishes holy shit. The current one is a blue-purple-pink shift so it's not as visible but the pink/teal one I actually have two different pictures at different angles and one is pink and one is teal. These are amazing nail polishes and I'm not sorry I got a bunch of them at once.
I watched the rest of Cursed, so that is a thing that I now have watched. Two episodes in and yeah, I was only watching for Gustaf Skarsgard. If you want to be fannish about it I would not be the one for you, but they did amusing weird things with the mythology and Gustaf Skarsgard was, for a character who started out like he was going to Floki up Jack Sparrow, surprisingly tame.
I had so much I was going to get done today. Garden! I did take a closer look and some of the black cherry tomatoes will be ready soon, the two tomato plants I got from my aunt are definitely going to be ready to transplant this weekend into bigger pots, NOT into the raised bed just in case, there are Even More Red Tomatoes out of the raised bed though, and there are peppers there are japaleno and banana peppers I am so happy. Also the cucumbers that I've been eyeballing going "those are very round" and waiting for them to darken? Yeah, they're not going to darken. Apparently Crystal Apple cucumbers are just Like That. Which is good to know because probably now I can pick them.
Along with a new router. I need to get a new router while my family is flinging money at me for computer accessories, although I'm not too sure which is good. I looked at a couple sites, got warned off of Linksys which is a bit galling, they used to be a good brand. I'll talk to the boy tomorrow and we'll see what to do about it. Meh. So close, and yet for want of an email and a proper internet connection on the second box.
Anyway. If I'm very lucky I'll actually get to sleep the whole duration of my usual sleeping hours tonight. That'd be nice considering I have to be a Studious Adult tomorrow. Today was just shot for all expected routines and even the new, less expected ones.
