(no subject)

So, talking to Harry Turtledove on Twitter is a thing that happened this weekend. I don't even know where to begin with that, but it once again drove home that Twitter is not only a source of endless bad news, it can be a way to connect with people I've admired for decades. It was quite a thing.

I signed and turned in all my contracts and promptly freaked out about them because that is a thing I do, but I think they're okay. Now I need to finish clearing the edits I was too tired to finish on Malachy tonight and get that to my tv writer and at some point during the week format Malachy for print and panic around that. I also need a nap, and to take melatonin tonight. Trying to go to sleep on time last night did not work as well as it has the last several weeks, I suspect on account of fucking Daylight Savings and my body being convinced it's an hour earlier what are we trying to sleep for. I'm not sure who to be annoyed at for that but I'm going to go with everybody.

I should be doing some form of edits and writes but all I can think is oh my god I want a nap. So much nap do I want.

Instead for the last twenty or so minutes of work I am doing edits on one of several stories for White Noise that need titles because what the hell I am absolute shit at titling things. Writing is easier, I can do writing when I get home, hopefully finish the damn dinosaur story and send it on to the Editrix and we can work it tonight and tomorrow and I can turn it in with a couple days' weeks' padding since they extended the deadline, woo! I have a few guesses why they did that although no actual certainties but what the hell, I'll take it.
