Nov. 28th, 2017 10:12 amDay two of melatonin experiments: took 1mg, went to bed eventually (past bedtime because of playing with shiny gel pens) tossed and turned and had that sensation of yawning, being awake, not quite being ready to fall asleep. Finally got irritated around 1am thanks to the past couple months of not being able to sleep and took two more mg, definitely passed out and slept through the night so at least a 3mg gram dose works as it's supposed to, as it used to. Tonight I'll have to try a 1mg dose taking it and trying to sleep earlier so I have a little more time to see if it works before I get irritated and add more drugs.
Current working theory is that 1mg works least, 3mg works as a top dose, no clue what happens if I try to sleep naturally because the last time I did that I got woken up first by the boy coming to bed, then by the cats wanting breakfast.

The makeup brushes are winning the Black Friday Through Cyber Monday haul so far. I decided to try a flat kabuki brush so I don't have to keep buying new big makeup sponges and yes, in fact, it does the job. So yay I can just wash my kabuki brushes every week and rotate them out with the rest and I don't have to buy the big sponges ever again. The small ones okay yes, but not so much the big ones. And the chisel contour and flat shader/liner brushes worked a treat, too. This pleases me. Especially considering these are the pricier brushes, not the $25-30/pop brushes but still. But these ought to last me a good while. I think the only one I need to replace after a year or so is one of the old eco-tools brushes I've been using to death.
I finally also realized I should maybe have bought bras on the Black Friday sale, but eh. Oh well. I'll tuck away some Christmas money and keep an eye out.
I added a column to the writing logistics sheet so I can remember where the fuck I'm submitting each thing and retooled the layout some so that it all fits on one screen dammit. Hopefully that works out. And I think at this point all the new writing I'm doing is either background for one thing or the other, short stories for one thing or the other (or just for shits and giggles), synopses for future projects, or rewriting chunks of novels till at least January. This is a very odd headspace to be in after pushing to finish Malachy, pushing to finish Startlight, rocketing at warp speed to finish Jude holy hell twenty five days. I'll never do that again. And pushing to finish... something? Turing Shrugged. No, that wasn't rewriting, that was edits. Okay. But still. Very strange headspace to be in. Along with having a plan and enjoying almost everything I'm working on and being proud of it to the point where putting it out there is a desireable end goal rather than a stepping stone to being a writer but I'm still afraid and so on.
