Mar. 1st, 2016 12:17 pmSo, I think somehow I'm managing to get ahold of this whole eyeshadow thing. Slowly. Very slowly, I have to remind myself that this is only my third time applying powdered eyeshadow with the pixie epoxy that makes it stay in place better, and I wasn't consistent enough with the powder at first to get very good at it anyway, and how long did it take me to figure out the rest of the stuff? I also, after a lot of surfing and drooling and spending some comfort time doing both of these things and reading reviews of other things and so on, discovered that Aromaleigh sells what they claim is Bare Minerals comparable powder foundation for a fraction of the cost per gram, at a hugely greater size. So I did go ahead and order some samples there, to see if it's the same/similar/works as well, because it's getting towards about time for me to replace the Bare Minerals stuff. And god, if I can get it cheaper I so will.
This is the happier part of the post.
The less happy part of the post is that I saw a Daily Beast article that, holy shit, the Trump supporters have turned into GamerGate. And this time the object of their ire is conservatives who don't support Trump. I'm not sure why they're not targeting Democrats and liberals who don't support Trump, except that maybe they feel less a sense of betrayal and more a sense of well you're already the enemy and we'll defeat you easily IF THESE FUCKERS OVER HERE JUST STEP INTO LINE? I don't know. I don't know what's going on there, but it led to an hour long discussion of oh god the atmosphere in this country we are so fucked.
(Following that, about an hour and a half later, a guy from the theatre downstairs came up and said "So these people don't like the play we're putting on because of [political reasons] and we've hired an officer for the duration of the play." At least it's just one night, but auuugh not what I wanted today.)
Happier things. Much happier. The rest of the day is going pretty well? Finally getting back to online courses including WWI, also known as oh my god can you all be more lethally stupid. And not that I didn't know this, but it's one thing to know it vaguely and another thing to study it in detail and damn you guys dumb.
Happier things, dammit. I'm wearing Femme Fatale's Spectral Fragments today and holy shit it's amazing. Like the braintwin, I need to get faster at the brushwork and I think I need to use smaller brushes, too, because I just ended up with too much of this all over and it drowned out the other color I was going to use. That said, ahahah oh my god this is amazing. This pixie epoxy is the absolute amazingest, helps so much with the eyeshadow powders, and creates amazing effects. I am going to be practicing this for at least the next couple of weeks and I don't even care, this is awesome. This is perfect. This is color all over my face and cheerful and just what I need if I'm going to be having mornings like this one.
ETA: Even more happier things, my copy of FMA: Brotherhood Collection Two was just delivered, so I can finally see the fucking ending thanks Netflix for not having the full thing.
