Nov. 9th, 2015 10:23 amPlus side: I am probably not contagious enough to infect my Totoro if I snuggle him at night! Minus side: Apparently this means the resultant excitement keeps me awake for half an hour-forty five minutes. Maybe not only that, but I was awake, and ended up taking half a dose of ZzzQuil to knock me out finally.
The end result seems to be that I have all of the energy this morning and before I got to work I had knitted some more of the second mitt I was working on, did Japanese, did exercise, showered, stretched, cleared the dishwasher of clean dishes, swept, had a healthy breakfast, did some Memrise, fed cats, and gathered stuff for work in the space of about two and a half hours. I know I get more done when I get a decent night's sleep, I know I'm more efficient, that I've been working on being more efficient lately, and I'm still amazed at how much I get done and how much energy I have when I'm healthy and well-rested. More so because it's been at least two weeks since that's been the case, maybe more so given that I got sick shortly after the boy had his whole job stress/financial insecurity issue.
... good god, given that, I wonder how long it's been.
Eh. Anyway.
Things and stuff to do. I do have a lot to catch up on but somehow it's bothering me less than it might. I'm not sure why and I'm not going to look at it too closely in case it collapses and I become a nervous wreck unable to pick anything up again because there's three other things I should be working on. I guess I'm just taking it one step at a time, working on all the various projects I'm juggling... maybe that's what it is. I'm only currently juggling two edits and one draft, that's probably less than usual. Not looking at it too hard! Back to work, back to doing things. Hopefully not getting sick again. I don't need another two weeks of being unable to do anything in any kind of organized fashion.
I have, however, managed to master fair-isle colorwork and kitchener stitch in the weekend bout of adjusting to being normal energy and normal health. And I've knitted two baby mitts and am finishing up the second of the pair because the first mitt I decided was too wide in the initial cuff. So that'll just stand as my first test. Unless I come across a baby with three hands. And. SO MANY KNITTINGS AM I DOING. Apparently that's all I'm doing for the winter, nesting and knitting. All my other unfinished projects and raw materials in my craft room are sobbing in their neglect. Or something.
