Aug. 31st, 2015 10:12 amDammit, boyfiend, check the rooms before you close them up for the night. The cats get very distressed if they're shut up in the office or the guest room for eight hours while I sleep and zombie and shower.
Last night was packing the better portion of clothes and things so I don't have to worry too immediately about it. Formal Star Trekky dress for the Dilithium Ball, shoes and stockings for same, necessaries, three pairs jeans couple shirts. I pressed and stuck the America Chavez clothes in the dryer on high heat to further heat set the paint, hopefully that'll be ready by the time I go to work so the Aunt can photograph it, I guess, for the store page since I used store paints for it. I still need to maybe pack a couple extra t-shirts and figure out if I really am going to be Cheetara. And other than that and makeup and the electroncis I'm still going to be using I think I'm done. Ulp.
Thanks to a dare from Fancy Lee's actor I'm now writing summaries of Killjoys episodes 2x01 to 2x10 out of pure speculation (no it hasn't been renewed yet but I really want it to be and I'm guessing).
No, for the next three days at least I'm going to be fussing over DragonCon. Do I have everything for everyone to sign? (No, I still haven't packed Zeroes where I can get at it, and I might just pack it and read it on the trip, we'll see.) Do I have all the costumes I want to pack? (No, I haven't packed makeup and still haven't decided if I'm going to Cheetara. Which, I should wash my costume tonight in case, but still argh.) Do I have civilian clothes if I chicken out? (Yes, though I could use a couple more t-shirts.) Did I remember to move the cards and things? (Yes, into my suitcase.) And I know I probably have accounted for everything I can except electronics, and I know I'm as organized as I can be, and I'm still going to freak out that I've forgotten something. Argh, double argh, triple argh, uber argh.
On the plus side work isn't overwhelming. We did have Dragons land today, which translates to we had come in several boxes of wholesale yarn that we have dyed for our store brand of weaving yarn, so that needs to get sorted out and labeled and shipped out for production and retailers, but that's also stuff I can do pretty much at my desk(s) while listening to some of the videos I want to get listened to before I leave. And. Stuff and things. And I can also do small writer things in between labeling and boxing up the yarn, so. Oof. Hauling those boxes around, though. They're anywhere between 20 and 80 pounds according to the packing labels, so I think I'm going to give it a good five minutes before I do anything else.
DragonCon is coming! So much to do! So much to prep for! Augh! :D
ETA: Oh sonofabitch, I used my Astrid icon and now, for the first time in ages, I want to work on Black Stone Rising. WHY, BRAIN. DON'T YOU HAVE ENOUGH WORLDS AND DRAFTS.
