Aug. 17th, 2015 10:18 amApparently a day spent mostly eating cornbread broken by a bowl of mac and cheese did not do me poorly. Let's not do that again, though. Granted, this was at least partly out of sheer nervousness that the fridge would give out on me. (It didn't. Hopefully it won't, but we have someone coming out for service this Thursday.) It's making a horrific grinding noise that stops only when we open the door; the boy thinks it's the motor or the compressor, I don't know what other parts in a fridge it could be so, sure? Either way, neither of us are trained refrigerator experts. So, calling them in.
On the one hand, I didn't get nearly as much done yesterday as I wanted to on anything but miniboarding, on the other hand I did get fractions of everything else done, and there was a lot of everything else, including house cleaning. So there's that? And I got to x04 in both serieses, which is nothing to sneeze at. If I aim for 3 episodes a day on weekdays (2 at night 1 in the morning) and ... that actually will get me 30 episodes just over two weeks, without time on weekends. No, actually, that's eminently do-able, okay. Especially since right now Japanese in the mornings is learning kanji and vocabulary and practicing te-forms and setting up textbook review since I've finished the first textbook. So that's easy enough. See, things less terrifying once I logistic them.
What else. What else what else. I have Tam Lin to finish and costume pieces to finish, that should get bumped up. I should get a fair chunk of my writing shit done, which is always hard to prioritize, especially when it's an anthology. Do I work on this story or this extra bit or what. Definitely I should get the edits done faster, that was going and then it sort of stalled out what with the six day work week. And then probably again this week and next week ugh. Still. I should get back to that.
No, I guess that's my main priorities here, costumes, White Lightning, Murderboarding. Schedule accordingly. So that's fine then.
And the myriad other little fiddly household tasks. Such as I have no idea what the hell we're having for dinner tonight other than leftovers, so I guess it's going to be takeout, since we have no meat defrosted. I mean, for me, it'd be tuna and cheese or ... actually, maybe, yeah, maybe tuna mac and cheese would be good. It'd be that, or it'd be a sandwich, or it'd be cereal and whatever else I snack on, but the boy demands meat with every dinner, and we have none of it defrosted. Fiddly household tasks. Like grocery shopping. Argh. Anyway.
I was going to do this other meme, then I completely forgot that I'd actually gotten a tag on this meme (SORRY!) and then I got distracted. Anyway, this meme's coming around again.
Give me the title of a story I've never written and feedback telling me what you liked best about it, and I will tell you any or all of the following: the first sentence, the last sentence, the thing that made me want to write it, my soundtrack/theme song for writing, the biggest problem I had while writing it, why it almost never got posted, the scene that hit the cutting room floor but that I wish I'd been able to salvage, and/or something else that I want readers to know.
