Jul. 13th, 2015 12:35 pmEverything started upside down today. The boy wanted donuts at 6.30 in the morning, so I said sure, so he dragged my half-awake still-in-ragged-sweats-from-yesterday ass out with him to get donuts for no really apparent reason. At that rate I wasn't going to make it back in time to exercise at my usual hour so, fine, invert schedule, which I did, and now I might get in a full twenty five minutes except I've had two donuts and am not looking forward to the high-and-crash combined with the allergies this pill isn't goddamn dealing with. Pill, I can replace you, don't think I can't. Unless it's just taking its sweet-ass time, which is also possible. This morning has been so lurchy I feel finishing the Hawkeye Vol 1 Matt Fraction graphic novel is exactly the kind of mood I'm in. I'm going to end up "Aww, [noun], no."ing all day.
... I just accidentally right-clicked on this window and it offered me a choice of writing direction. That's... new.
Yeah, remember yesterday when I was whinging about not building muscle because I wasn't feeling sore? I take it back. I did one set of plies today and hurt like a son of a bitch. So apparently I don't feel sore until I start using the muscles for more than just walking around. This is going to be awkward for a while. I mean, I guess that's also a tangible sign that it's working, but ow. This is also my reminder to myself to change up my exercise routine, oh, after DragonCon? Rest of July, August, September. Yeah, that should be good. I'm not sure what I'll change up the dailies too, but I'm sure I'll think of something.
... I just realized that my workout clothes are all purple. My light purple tank and my purple sweats. So I guess I really am Hawkeye today.
Ugh, I can't muster up a decent head of steam for my exercises today. Or the funny part is, thinking that makes me more determined to push through the last chunk. Go figure. Still should do a few more exercises tonight, though. Different ones from this morning, yoga poses? Just for fifteen minutes, squeak that in somewhere. It's a lot easier to squeak in exercises when it's 15 at a time.
Double ugh because work is full of heavy lifting and answering phones. And I work much better when I can do mostly one and then mostly the other, not both interspersed. Ah well. If I'm very lucky and very good I can get all the heavy lifting done quickish, and then have liberty to answer the phone and do some writing as well. To arms, and all that.
