The funny thing is, the person saying that both sides of the American Civil War were equally right and wrong and completely leaving out the part about the Civil War was about owning people and a slavery-based economy, even ranting about that person and researching arguments to throw at them (other than obviously, are you into slavery are you are you) is actually giving me less of a stress fever/headache than reading about Baltimore.

It also sent me into a fifteen minute history major froth wherein I ranted about how wrong the person was and dug up sources and books that corroborated my point of view and then got distracted digging up sources and books on other areas. So apparently that's still a thing.

Last day of Camp Nanowrimo! I'm down to 5.5k words, which I can totally do easily. If I don't get distracted being scholastic all over the place. I think at this point it's partly the high of finishing an edX course, which I haven't managed to do yet due to various life events or in one case the egregious shilling of the instructor, and partly because being this close to an ending of a project means grabbing on anything so I don't finish it. Because finished projects mean quality control, mean I haven't done good enough, etc.

This is, of course, all bullshit. But that's brains for you.

Anyway. The way this is going, by the time I get home I will have a little over 2k words to write, and that is freaking amazing. At some point I need to organize what the hell I want to do after all this is over, I have five lessons starting over the next six months in EdX, I have six thousand things I want to study on Khan Academy, and I have approximately fifty gajillion stories to get back to writing and editing. I feel like this makes it time to break out the scheduling pens.

(I do love making schedules in funky colors. Probably more than is reasonable. Totally a Ravenclaw. Make all the organize! Learn all the things!)

Also, from the perspective of End of Camp Nanowrimo -- writing 80k+ of a novel in a month is not the best idea ever.

I'm going to do it again in July aren't I. Of course I am.
