Nov. 19th, 2014 11:27 pmIt turns out that when I don't do Russian in the middle of the day I am very bad at updating on time, because I like to have all my languages done before I report that they are done, and then I never update until ten minutes before bedtime. Let's not do that, okay? Though right now since my Russian book is by my bed anyway, I might as well read it a few sentences at a time in between exercises, and then I can do my Japanese in the morning and then have the rest of the day to update on whatever progress I have made.
I have, at least, done both languages today. No, that's not true, I've actually done quite a bit over the last few days. After a couple of days of work socking me in the face work... hasn't gotten much less hectic, but I've gotten more better able to cope wiht it and carve out some writing time either out of my work day or out of my energy levels when I get home. With the end result that I got 4k in Nano done yesterday and 2k in Nerd Girls, and 1k in Nerd Girls done today and another 2k in Nano. Which is good because I'm behind in Nano. And I really, really need to just finish Nerd Girls so I can start fixing it.
I've also gotten used to the idea of Scrivener as a tool rather than as a fancied up word processor I have no interest in using. I have my outline in a word processor (well, Cloud processor), I have my documents in the cloud and backed up in freeware word processor format, I don't need ANOTHER word processor. On the other hand when it comes time to think of a story as a book I want to read, and to break it up into those component parts and format it like an ebook, that's actually very helpful. So I've been fucking around with that also the past couple of days.
And. And what else? And nothing. Work is kicking my ass. I would love for it to stop, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. Alas.
