Nov. 6th, 2014 10:11 pmWell. I slept nine hours last night, woke up. Did my exercises. Cooked some more chicken, made it to work. Made it through an entire day of work without either falling over or neglecting to eat which apparently I could not manage yesterday. And while I did chug some dayquil in the morning, I have not had any drugs since 7 am, so I might actually be on the fucking mend from this goddamn plague.
It only took ten days.
I did do my Japanese and I did do my Russian, which is still getting easier and still not getting easier in the sense that oh dear god my vocabulary is so small. Still. Bit by bit by bit by bit by bit. I even managed to get caught up on Nano, do some editing on Sandborn, finish my author page on Amazon (I have a fucking author page on Amazon you guys what the shit), and get some words done in Nerd Girls! Because I am awesome.
It's been so long since I've felt healthy enough to do all the things that I want to do in a day I'm a little surprised at how much I get done when I'm even mostly healthy. Say, 80% health. Not quite a full bar. My head is still irritatingly stuffy and my throat hurts. And I'm still generating more mucus out of my head than I would consider reasonable, and I am damn well taking NyQuil tonight so I don't wake up with a mouthful of snot, do you know how disgusting that is? Literally, coating all over the inside of my mouth, snot. Foul. I think that might actually be a curse I have someone do in one of my books soon. May your mouth and nose be entirely coated in snot.
Anyway. Um. Finally learning verbs and conjugation in Dothraki! Shut up, I like my hobbies. And Mom is coming over this weekend, which will be nice. Of course that means somehow I need to get the house looking actually decent, which is somewhat less nice, but, eh. I'll manage somehow. Hopefully. Maybe. If not, well, it's not like my mother was a stickler for tidiness. CLeanliness, okay, yes, tidiness? Ahahahahahah she was a single mom for a while there with three kids, you really think she had time for that? No. No she did not.
You would think, after all these years, that I would have a language learning icon. And yet somehow I don't. I should get on that, too. In the meantime, have Clu being the boss I totally am.
