Dragon Con has yet to bring in more than five guests or so I at all want to see. This is slightly worrisome. Or maybe worrisome isn't the right word so much as now I'm seriously questioning my commitment to more than a day or two of Sparkle Motion. And that's depressing because I love going to this damn thing, but meeting all the actors is at least half the reason I love it. So now I'm left with this sort of half love and half-heartedly eyeing the various tracks and going "How many panels can I volunteer for."
... The main track of which hasn't even got their shit together to have a rough schedule. Okay then. Ugh. Yeah, I think this year I'm going to make the cloak for Raven, buy the leotard, keep half an eye out for the jewels, and make the paper mache nuke for Raven, and bring a sharpie to write Poor Impulse Control on my forehead. Or make the bf do it. And that'll be the extent of my costume prep. I already have a bunch of other costumes done, I can always wear those if I really want to. Abby's a perennial hit.
Doing at least somewhat better this morning. Actually, I started doing better after I hashed it out in chat and in check-in and realized where at least some of it was coming from, but then there was also going home and some self care and also booze. Specifically cider from that really lovely place up the road. So. But still kind of wary of the inside of my own head today, not in the sense that I'm not going to write because I totally am, but more in the sense that I'm still being extra careful and, in this case, digging around for shit to reblog to my courtesan tumblr. Yes, I have a courtesan tumblr, don't judge me. It holds all my pretty things.
La dee dum. Today's at least starting off pretty slow and quiet. I don't know how long it will stay that way, but while it is that way, might as well try and get some writing done.
