Nov. 21st, 2013 10:45 amWork has been exhausting. There has been barely enough time to write, let alone do languages, let alone think, let alone grab something to eat (yes, I did), and I'm taking these last two damn hours to do stupid paperwork and write instead of read my language books. Tomorrow is soon enough to pick up Russian/German again.
(There's a thought, Russian/German dual language books. I wonder if those exist anywhere. Or, more likely to be useful, Russian/Spanish German/Spanish.)
Anyway. No Irish this morning, I was exhausted and heartsick from Person of Interest last night so I put on some other lady detective shows and rolled around in that for a bit, then finally kicked myself into finishing the blog entry for the episode of PoI I was working on before everything went to shit. Then I went to bed. Hopefully language routines can resume with Russian this afternoon. We'll see.
Right now my other current projects are Nanowrimo (SO BEHIND OH MY FUCKING GOD) and leatherworking. I've gotten almost as far as I can without that snap kit, pictures may be incoming. I also have a shitpile more leather out of which I can make a Cap hip pouch, an Iron Man one, Kaneda, Loki, maybe a couple Supernatural ones if I really feel like it. Basically those first four are colored leather and I have some light neutrals and two dark browns, so I need to figure out what theme/pattern I'm doing with those. Been also thinking about Hunger Games. Or Game of Thrones. Any ideas? Progress photos should be up soonish.
So tired. I've spent the past week either being excited about Thanksgiving, heartsick and pissed over Person of Interest, or exhausted from my day job. I'm tired of being tired. I want more uplifting TV. I want more shows like Sleepy Hollow, hell. Maybe I need to branch out. Maybe people just need to stop shooting their fucking kickass characters.
Too tired to ponder it. I do need to check in, though, so that'll happen pretty definitely today.
ETA: The number of people who have NOPE'd out of Person of Interest or are lamenting about how hard they find it to stick with it amuses me all to hell. I love you, fandom. I unironically, wholeheartedly, and with deepest sympathies love you.
