I have a profiler hangover again today. I am displeased by this. And I've finally acknowledged that a week and a half of not getting writing time or energy due to work shenanigans means I will not get Nerd Girls written this month and should put it off till December. Which means I guess that the next few days are devoted to re-reading White Lightning and pondering its outline and figuring out how to accommodate what happened. I have every faith that my brain has been working on it in the interim. Because that's what the damn mold does.
We'll see if we have at all more people at work today, although it's likely that one will be out sick again/still and then two more are at the fiber festival today at our booth. So, argh.
And then, you know, I was buried under dragons at work. Which is fine, I didn't expect to get much done today, I just was hoping that the nothing I'd get done at work today involved more sitting out front and doing leatherwork in between customers and less labeling endless cones of yarn and stuffing them in boxes.
To give you some idea of how crazy it's been (and how bad this morning's headache was) I started this entry this morning at around 7.30 and I'm finishing it this afternoon at around 12.30.
At any rate. And this weekend is even more fun because Grimm is back, which means Saturday really is all profiling all the time. Sunday is whatever Person of Interest my brain will stand, though at least we've passed the halfway point on the backlog there, and other than that it would be my day of rest if Sunday weren't also the day of helping pack up at the fiber fair. Fortunately that's also the last of the trade shows for the year. Also fortunately we don't have too many weekends of double-profiling, since Haven has only 7 more episodes or so. Yay for short seasons? And yet still, let us have no more of this doing three shows at once malarky. Augh. (I'd say I still kind of want to do Sleepy Hollow, except the more I watch it the more I think there's just not much there for us to do. It's not that it's not good, it's just not the kind of show that has much for us to analyze, it's the kind of show that works best if you sit back and enjoy the ride.)
At any rate. So. I guess this evening is picking up the house until it's time to watch TV. Probably cooking, and probably cooking chili, come to think of it, I can set that up and then nap on the couch for a bit. Then clean, then TV watching, then bed after preliminary flailing. Up early, do some stretching, sit down and do blogging all day, then Sunday... well, I'll take Sunday when it gets here. Right. That is a plan.
And now, back to the dragon yarn.
And then I almost performed a marriage. The fuck this day what.
