Con Report Day ... -1?
Aug. 29th, 2013 10:05 pmIt's Thursday at the con and already the costumes are out. So far I've seen Daft Punk, Deadmau5, various Stormtroopers and the obligatory robot Dalek. Or possibly somebody in a chair with a big Dalek costume around him/her? Difficult to say. (The boy says somebody was actually in the Dalek.) A very good Frankenstein, another Huntress which the boy pronounced very good and promptly made me very insecure. Two Adventure Time people with the hoodie and the blue shirt and sword, I have no idea who it is because the only reason I know anything about Adventure Time is tumblr. I keep meaning to watch! Then I have no time.
And when I went down to fetch Kiki (I has a Kiki!) I got into my Abby costume and promptly picked up 8 photographs. Because I am just that awesome. And apparently I am an awesome Abby. Also I have the hippo. So that's good for my ego.
Seen a few Wonder Women, a lady Cap, Newt and Gottlieb! Newt actually asked to get a picture with me! Mutual costume admiration. Decent Tinkerbell, the obligatory passel of Doctors and Malcolms and only one Kaylee so far. Boy says there was a Halo costume. At least one Jack Sparrow and several other pirates. Various others! I think the boy got some pictures.
Not much else of note has happened today? I did manage to sleep somewhat on the drive down, we got our supplies, I forgot my medkit at home for the first time in my history of coming to cons with it, so hopefully no one develops pains or colds? Or gets cut or burned. We got down, checked in, got registered, got food, got to the vampires (blood donation) in short order, then it was pretty much hanging out in the room till we got Kiki.
Tomorrow... I have no idea what costume I'm going to wear. Probably Cheetara? At least during the day. And it's Walk of Fame time, and then I have the panel at 5:30 on Haven and AUGH I AM NOT PREPARED FOR THIS. I was going to spend all of today watching Haven and then I didn't and aaaugh. Freaking right the fuck out. It's cool, it's cool. I'll just re-read all the murderboards. That won't take long, will it?
