So, obviously, no Russian today. Because I'm sick. I know I'm sick because I slept 14 hours out of the last 24, without any of the usual side effects I get from sleeping more than 6 or 7 hours at night.

This isn't fair. It isn't ironic, either, it just isn't fair. I finally get plowed out/melted out, whichever, so that I can go to work and do some work, and I get sick. And now not only am I bundled up and housebound again, I have to struggle to round up brain cells to do anything. There's laundry and dishes need finished and other than that I'm probably going to be lapsing in and out of consciousness all day. Ugh.

Did not get to watch Human Target tonight, woe, but I did catch the President's memorial speech. It was pretty awesome, as usual. He called for everyone to be a little better, to exercise a little empathy, he did not point fingers or lay blame. It was well done.

Oof. It's a good thing I can touch type pretty well, because Murdock is lying on my chest and his ass end is obscuring the keyboard. This is probably a sign that I should lie down for another nap or something, except I have to get up to get the last of the laundry soon. Then maybe there will be more sleep. Maybe if I spend half of today asleep I'll be better by tomorrow. Which would be nice. I miss being able to go out into the world.

Sean presented a picture that was worth capturing, leaning against a tree overlooking the effigy mounds in the park. The weather had snapped cold in the last week, especially for summer, and he had his old battered coat on with the elbows worn pale in the leather. Blue jeans on somehow, either because of all that coaxing or because it was no longer the school year and he could be a little less stiff and formal. His hair was loose and still damp from the shower that morning, his white shirt tempered with damp spots. She snapped a quick cell-phone picture before crawling closer to him.

"Penny for your thoughts."

He jumped a little as Josie grinned up at him, turning to sit own against both his side and the tree. Which resulted in some awkward shifting as he raised his arm to slide it around her shoulders. She ended up shifting her legs to a more parallel to his position.

"Nothing too interesting, I'm sure," he sighed, a small noise as they settled together against the tree. "Paige said Jared is due back in town soon."
