2. How many characters do you have? Do you prefer males or females?
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA. Lots.
I don't think I have a preference for males over females. If I do it probably skews slightly towards men, but I think I've gotten over that. I definitely need to watch my stock characters, because sometimes the women and, for that matter, the men tend to have similar traits. Or at least the ones I take out and wave around a lot. Although, that said, I think I do a pretty good job at making all the characters their own individual characters.
But I do have lots of characters. Lots. On my wiknotes I have at least six or seven individual original characters, and that's just the ones I've a) written up and b) created in the last six months or so. I've been writing for about twenty five years. And I've slowed down lately. So, yeah. It's a lot.
... I don't know. F-list, those of you who are familiar with my writing, do I write male over female at all these days?
Another day, another pile of boxes. Hopefully today I can get the wig shopping in and the drop spindle practice in. I don't have any leotards yet, but the first order I made said 'items not in stock, may ship later', at which point I freaked and picked a different color that didn't say that. So, now crossing fingers that a) this comes soon and b) the color overdyes decently enough. Today it looks like the only thing that's incoming is books. Which, hey, I placed the order yesterday, that's cool. Hopefully my buttons come in the post mail today. (And, for the inquiring mind, that was not the Yarn of Cthulhu. It was just my makeup.)
Not that I'm nervous or anything. The Dragon*Con widget says it's exactly 3 weeks till Dragon Con, and, um. Yeah. I need to do some major sewing this weekend. Putting together one skirt and butchering the hell out of the Silk Spectre costume. And then, um. Hell. Where's my list. What do I need. Stockings, of course. And hair dye, but actually that's about it. Okay, so I at least have a Silk Spectre costume if I really want. But I still need to put the damn skirt together, for which I need buttons, augh flail run in circles scream and shout. Argh.
And then get my boots (not my books, my boots, Jag) together to wear them to work so I can get a piece of matching leather for the bracer. And. Um. Shit. Oh yeah, going up to the lingerie store for stockings. Stockings are good things for Silk Spectre. The more opaque the better. I'd get the latex kind but I'd have to order them and I don't know if they'd be here in time and I don't even know where I'd get them anyway. Also, that's a lot of latex. Hm. ... God, it's almost worth it. I am such a dork. But I'm starting to feel like a more badass dork again, and that's very good.
