Russian. Translating dialogues, yay!

1. Дома: Я хочу сделать Маше подарок.
-- Петя, я хочу сделать нашей соседке Маше подарок. У неё ведь скоро день рождения.
Petya, I'm going to get [lit. to make] our neighbor Masha gift. It is her birthday soon, after all.

-- Ой, я совсем забыл об этом!
Oh, I completely forgot about that!

-- Что ты мне посоветушь ей купить?
What would you advise me to buy her?

-- Может быть, книгу?
A book, maybe?

-- Да, можно подарить книгу.
Yes, maybe give her a book. English doesn't have a specific equivalent verb that I know of, but this verb specifically indicates 'to give as a gift.' Note the similarity to подарок.

-- Ты знаешь, я недавно был на рынке. Там были интересные вещи.
You know, I haven't been was to market recently. There were interesting things [there]. Note the resolve at the end of the first asset verb, pos instead of neg.

-- А, может быть пойдём туда сегодня?
Well, maybe we can go there today?

-- Давай.
Let's.

Guh. The rest of this may have to wait or be really slowed down until my body stops misbehaving.

Deutsch! Independent clauses and coordinating conjunctions. We all remember what those are, right? Of course right!

Anyone remember the FANBOYS rule? Anyone remember this before fanboy was a word known 'round the internet? )
