Apparently doing my entire workout routine before getting online gets me doing my Russian almost 30 minutes early. Who knew.

More prepositional case! By the end of this chapter I am going to be so sick of that case. Apparently, though, in the chapter after this one I get accusative case. Yay! More verbal dexterity! My mind's still having problems reading Cyrillic as language instead of symbols at first blush, but I'm actually also getting better at reading the Russian, too.

Oh bloody hell. I am glad I actually had that half hour because... dyaugh. Brain. Hurting. Definitely need to practice this section above and beyond what they've given in the books. Oh yes. Especially if I flubbed this section as bad as I fear I did. *eyes it* Stupid bloody suffixes.

At least once the panic faded I was actually pretty good about remembering to switch from present to past tense for the second sentence...

SO. Things that rock. Because today I realy need to remember to make this post:

I'm happy that I'm healthy. Because good goddamn, I could not get through a day like today if I wasn't in at least decent shape. And because I am healthy, I powered through my exercises wiht half an hour extra to devote to Russian. Which it turned out I needed just to do the damn exercises. So there. My good health makes me happy, especially when over four or five years of not being insured the worst I had to do was shell out for a strep test and the antibiotics to cure it.

I'm also happy because I have a kickass family. My kickass family has given me a place to live for a few months, a job that, madness aside, I adore. A work environment in which I can perch on a table and discuss Castle and The Mentalist and Medium and Heroes for an hour if there's nothing to do. A work environment in which, yes, I can show someone an animation of a giant pink cock charging through a jungle background on its bolitos and no one bats a lash. Well, inasmuch as you can not bat a lash at such a thing. A job in which I have a weekend. My family has given me my recently reminded me of talent for languages in raising me in a bilingual household... my family has made me the woman I am today. And they have always supported and loved me, no matter what my decisions. My family makes me ridiculously happy. And proud.
