Mar. 29th, 2008 01:44 pmI was supposed to be out with the Morris dancers. I should be out with the Morris dancers. Instead, I'm sitting in the house listening to the cats shred an advertisement, unable to turn my head to the left or very far to the right.
Fun!
I still have no idea what happened. Somewhere between waking up and breakfast yesterday my neck started to tense up to the point where I couldn't turn my head very far to the left. And then as I worked, I couldn't move my shoulder very far. And then it started hurting when I looked up or down. And then I basically got a phone number for a spa down the street shoved at me until I called them and asked if they could squeeze me in. Which they did! And it worked!
For about five hours.
I woke up this morning and I couldn't even pick Mikey up. I can't turn my head to the left without about fifteen minutes of stretching it and applying heat. I can turn my head to the right, barely. I can't look up or down without pulling my shoulders into a weird position or moving my entire torso. It's just... it hurts. I was seriously thinking about leaving work early on Friday because it hurt. I took a hot shower and that worked for about half an hour, forty five minutes. I hope this mostly goes away by Monday or I don't know what I'm going to do. Get the FlutterBuzz to do the actual packing, maybe, and I can sit at a computer and just do papers.
Dammit. Just... dammit.
