(no subject)

AUGH. Okay. Phew. Just posted what I hope is a decent summation of fair use, derivative works, and the definitions of parody and satire according to Wikipedia. Will probably edit those later. The comm, once again, is whatyouimagine, anyone of a mind to do so please go look over the most recent two posts and make sure it's all coherent, relevant, and accurate. I may not edit today; if I do I may cry. But if you point out errors I will at least remove them until I can fix them and then repost. Prompts will go up on the 15th. Once again, this is for wholly original work only. No original characters in existing fandoms, please. And yes, wholly original does include mythology, folklore, reinterpretations of myths and legends. ... I'll rephrase. No original characters in existing fandoms that are not public domain. Which is most of them, but still.

Also, for all those of you who write comics (which I think is only you, and you know I'm looking at you), prompts have started back up again on fourpagecomics! I may actually post something there, this time. I may not. It's possible I don't have the somewhat visual frame of mind to write a comic book. But. The community is there if you so choose, please feel free to write or pimp or what have you.

Um. Hm. Really, I guess I have nothing new to report. I got more prompts done yesterday than I expected to. I really wish Semagic had a word count function. I really wish I felt more confident about what I've written for the fair use section of the community, but oh well. I did have a dream last night that's inspired me to write some more in bartonhall, which I may do. Other than that, it may be time for a nap. Or something more substantial than the yogurt cup.

ETA: And at some point I really, really need to start keeping track of my words again.
