Jan. 29th, 2008 10:45 pmSo! As previously announced in a post of jubilation, we got the apartment! A nice cozy and affordable two-bedroom apartment, within walking distance of Aunt E and the Elf Lord. Move in date is March 1, possibly modified depending on what state the previous tenants leave the apartment in. This is exceedingly happy making. This also means I will probably need to look for a mattress towards the end of February, and the bed will damn well get moved first. I'm not sure how, probably by loading up the componant parts into a car and driving it over and then unloading it again and puting it together. But it will get moved first. And then several boxes. I have this urge to find a red wagon and just go back and forth toting stuff in it.
Also! For those of you who... actually, mostly only for those of you I chat with on programs what are made for chatting... but for those of you who are curious as well! I have discovered a sort of a pattern forming. I work, mostly, 10 to 6. Some days I get in a little early, some days I leave a little early, but those are mostly my hours. Tuesday nights I have Morris dancing practice! Which involves no actual dancing for me, but keeping time on the drum and, eventually, playing a pennywhistle! It's been so long since I've played a pennywhistle. Odd Sundays for two hours I have English Country dancing. Because English Country dancing is made of win and awesome. And then Friday nights we have a sing, which is basically the Bob comes over and we all make some beautiful noise, and I try to keep up on guitar. So, yeah. If I'm not online at those points, that's why!
Today has been made of win and awesome. Tomorrow I get up early and go put down the security deposit for the apartment; today I got Tiger's Milk Bars that I will now carefully ration out for the rest of the week. It wasn't too busy at work, which was kind of depressing, but it also wasn't too slow. Um. Fun stuff is happening in RP. I need to figure out a good balance of learning languages and exercising somewhere in there, but on the whole... yeah. This? Is rocking my world.
Also, a meme, or part of one: If my life were a fandom, and you wanted to write RPF about me, who would you ship me with?
