Nov. 21st, 2006 09:23 pmWish List for Things When I Have Money (for my reference):
1. Dupioni Swatches Here, for reference (11$+S/H)
2. BPAL Imps: Bastet, Darkness, Arcana, also a set of Qor'toh imps for 35$. Not actual name, but it's funnier that way.
3. Boning from Hedgehog. Sizes to be measured according to patterns.
And then the usual DVDs, books, etc. Huh. That's less than I thought. I guess it helps that I'm paring down my 'ooh shiny' things to three hobbies (sewing, writing, painting) and I've already got everything I could use for painting.
Right. Balanced my checkbook and set up reminders in my laptop to KEEP it balanced. As in, entering receipts and purchases and things every third day. This is in advance against the time when I actually have money so I don't go completely batshit crazy with the sewing stuff. I did more than enough of that this year's faire and Halloween season. I am on a budget of 40$ every two weeks, barring specific projects that people will pay me for. I may save up that money against something I know I will need. Ooh. And I need to e-mail JKM fabric because my fucking trim was not in the box. Well, one of it wasn't. GRR. DEATH.
In addition, have made two new icon sets for two pups. Have eaten more chocolate chip cookies than I should, but have also stretched, so. It's kind of healthy? And have cut almost all sweets out of my diet. Which is a minor miracle, given how much chocolate and candy I like to eat. Guh. Not. Healthy. It wasn't healthy when I was doing it in high school even when I was exercising, and it's not healthy now.
I do need to organize all the writing I need to get done.
fic5000 ficlets, ficlets on the prompt list I have yet to do,
libraryofwinds promts, dear GOD all my TM pups are actually up to date, or close enough (this week's prompt) as makes no never mind, and
100_fandoms and
fanfic100. Yeesh.
I am, somehow, getting back my Japanese. Studying at work mostly, slowly but surely, going through all my old lessons and practicing. I need to find time and set aside time to practice my French and Spanish too. Although that'll be easier, probably in just... I don't know, finding French and Spanish things to read and listen to as well as blowing through a few grammar books. Mostly because while my English grammar is pretty damn good when I'm writing instead of talking or blogging? My French and Spanish grammar is... fairly colloquial. And my Spanish vocabulary I don't actually think ever got above a 14 year old level. Heh. Oops. And after those, or maybe after Japanese and during Spanish and French? Russian and German lessons again. This may result in ficlets in Spanish and French. Ooh. That'd be cool.
