Yes, I know you insist upon a completed manuscript, but the question was, what format, did you want anything else with it, and should I print up the first few chapters or just wave a disk at you. Telling me to look at your website when it only describes what you should put in an E-MAIL and not what you should bring to a conference?

No, it does not answer my questions, but since you clearly didn't look at my questions, I won't bother replying to you.

Today accomplished:
1. 'tec novel outline DONE! According to the writerly book of mystery novel goodness! Scene by scene and everything in detail! I kick mystery novel ASS.
2. Slogged through 4 hours at work. Boo on people who take FIVE AND A HALF MINUTES to tell me their name and address.
3. 3-page synopsis for Sophie scrapped and rewritten.
4. 1-page synopsis for Sophie rewritten
5. Scene-by-Scene outline of Nightmare as it was first drafted written. Now I have to go back and figure out where to expand, if at all.

With the head. And the hurting. Ow.

On the plus side? The outline for the 'tec novel is finished, and I rock. On the minus side, I just looked at all the synopses and outlines I have to do, plus the actual task of inserting scenes into the novel for the editor's appointment in three weeks time. Ouch. I think the only actual writing that's going to get done today is the first couple scenes in the 'tec novel.

It also occurs to me that I'm not only treating writing as a career, I'm actually enjoying the hell out of it. The organization, the planning, the writing, every last piece of it. It's fun. It feels good. If I somehow manage to make it as a writer, I will be the luckiest bitch on the face of this planet for being able to do something I love so thoroughly. I love it long time. I love it the way the camera loves Orlando Bloom.

Basic Instinct 2 fills me with a curiosity about Basic Instinct 1. Which I have never seen. I have also never seen Predator, Rocky, Vertigo, and a bunch of other movies.

Possibly it's aspirin time. Then it's time to knock down some of the synopses and outlines I have to write. I may start writing more detailed outlines rather than the one-line scene summary icons.

ALSO. I am taking the world of comic writing by the throat and writing some of The Adventures of Kitty in Writing, or whatever. Inspired by Nutty's absolutely hilarious comic. Comic scripts will ensue. Hopefully they will not suck.
