I enjoyed the movie. It was hard to follow in spots because of the way it was shot and cut, and some of the plot points seemed either ill explained or over explained. But I thought it was well done, well put together. The overall story was interesting, traditional, and some of the ways they manifested the aspects were pretty damn cool. The acting was good. It is subbed, or at least the theatre I saw it in had it subbed except for the opening and closing narration, which I prefer. The music was weird and, I thought, inappropriate and jarring at one moment. There were some moments of "that is just cool."
One thing that did strike me, that doesn't often with foreign films, was that it was clear that there were a lot of cultural differences in the way people make movies, which I think sometimes people (or just I) forget. Or I'm used to watching movies from cultures I'm much more familiar with, that aren't exactly foreign, just non-english. It seems to be a very Russian movie. Which isn't a bad thing, or a good thing. Just a different thing.
But yes, I do recommend that you see it, although if you want to wait for the other two that would make sense, too. Maybe parts of the other two would make more sense of the plot points that seemed ill explained or over explained.
Although, looking at the IMDB, it looks like the version I saw was cut from the original. So. Hmm.

Yesterday was work, dinner, movie, ice cream, home. Writing. Too much going on, not enough time to rest. But at least nothing catastrophic happened, and writing progresses. Even if not as far as I'd like. The hysteria has worn off. Now it's just numb and exhaustion.

2. 2 icons for Miranda
3. Did taxes (OMGSOLATE) (Not officially late, for those of you not in the US. Just late for when I'd said I was going to do them)
4. TM TRs for this week.
