1 a : a peculiarity of constitution or temperament : an individualizing characteristic or quality b : individual hypersensitiveness (as to a drug or food)
2 : characteristic peculiarity (as of temperament); broadly : ECCENTRICITY).
List five of your idiosyncrasies for the world to laugh at:
1. I prefer to watch/listen to "period" television or music when I'm sewing. It's something like, if I'm watching people pretend to be medieval, victorian, whatever, I'll feel more like sewing. Or being medieval. Or being clever with my fingers, or something like that. It's a mood thing. I have specific mood music for painting, too, but that's an entirely different thing.
2. I call everyone kiddo at some point or another. Even people older than me. Sometimes especially people older than me.
3. I used to not wear jewelry. Now I wear three (five?) pieces of jewelery. Two pairs of earrings, and a ring. The two pairs of earrings are just surgical steel studs, unless I feel the need for something fancy. The ring is what is I believe called a celtic triquetra ring, and there's some symbolism there. A promise to myself.
4. I learn languages for recreation. No shit. I get bored and I pick up a textbook.
5.I don't actually think I'm a good writer. I write faster than just about everyone I know. I also read faster than everyone I know. I can write up to 10k words per day, on a good average. I don't know how fast I read.
