Uuugh so tired. Full day at work plus wandering around the Celtic Fest up north. Yay Celtic Fest! Bought myself some pretties, as they were happily inexpensive. Two of those finger gauntlety things and a pretty pretty ring that I am never ever taking off. It's all trilobal. For the Three Sisters. Heh heh heh. You know who you are.

I wore my Homeland t-shirt because I am a sad pathetic goober who adores their lead singer liekwhoa. 'cause he's all hot and stuff. Also 'cause he does really cool renditions of Foggy Dew and All Along the Watchtower. Saw Homeland, natch, also saw Dulahan and almost stuck around for Gaelic Storm but by that time my knees were starting to scream in hideous pain. And no chairs.

Got to listen to a fun mini-lecture on the Four Provinces of Ireland. Which I can still sorta name, due to living down the street from a pub called Ireland's Four Provinces for nearly forever. Ulster, Munster, Connacht, and Thingie. Almost name 'em all. But he did point out all the bits on the Four Provinces flag (to three ditsy girls, hah, I had a moment of superiority) and what they mean. And that's somethign I didn't know.

I mostly resisted the shiny. I still have money, too.

There were a number of pretty dresses. But if I bought any I'd actually have to wear them. I don't wear skirts anymore, and I'm not sure why. I used to like skirts. Used to have bunches of 'em. Now I don't. It's just one of those things I guess. Should I wear skirts again? Broomstick skirts. Circle skirts. Pretty, plain things. Dunno.

Celtic Fest was also nice just for the sheer number of sweet people I half- and barely- knew. And for... hmm. There's a loneliness. I'm going to be cryptic here and say there's been a loneliness this past week. Two weeks? And a kind of back-of-the-brain, quiet fear of loss. And it's ridiculous and irrational, but it's there. And going up to Celtic Fest made me forget that for a bit. Which was nice.

Right. Bedtime.
