It's frikkin' freezing out here, Mr. Biggelsworth.

Yesterday was... productive. Possibly not as much as I'd like it to be, but it was. Got some painting done, some writing done, some TM topics caught up on. Went out to the Half-Price Bookstore. Got some language CDs for Korean, French, Spanish, Japanese, Italian, Greek, German, and Arabic. That ought to keep me busy for a while, along with the Russian CDs I already have. Yes, I am a crazy person.

I'm tired. And I'm cold, and I'm not sure why. I don't want to go to work. Sadly, I must. Money, and all that, especially considering the damn student loan payments. Ugh.

So.

... I don't really have much to say right now. I possibly should, but I don't. I'm reviewing the Russian words I learned last night. Foodstuffs. It amuses me that the Clockwork Orange word for 'balls' seems to have evolved from the Russian for 'apples.' Not that it surprises me, but it is amusing.

I am home from work. Work was evil in my general direction and I wanted to reach down the phone lines and strangle about half a dozen people today, but I am home and life is better. I have my Fluffamonster to talk to, I have my Vespurrson to plot with, and I have chocolate. I also have minis to paint, stories to write, questions to answer. Posts to catch up with at some point. Heh. So behind! And the last five pages of a really horrible thingie to edit. Twitch.

Note to people at work:
1. No, I will not issue you another coupon because you didn't want to use it on previous orders, you wanted to use it on the one item that wasn't out until after the coupon expired. That item is below the minimum amount you have to spend to get the discount anyway, and if you order from us as much as you say you could have used it with any one of a dozen previous orders.

2. Do not give me your name and phone number in one long burst of sound and then hang up. That is a great way never to get called back from us ever again. Also, yes, it is possible for one light fixture to be made out of brass and the other out of steel considering they're not actually the same damn fixture.

3. Do not bitch at me about paying for return shipping when you haven't even ordered the damn thing yet. I told you they'd refund it once they got it back, you do not need to hear it from five other people. Shut up and suck it. Bitch.

4. Do not spend 10 minutes tying up our phone lines and my time debating with me on the color of a damn table only to go well, I have to think about this and hang up. I told you to go look at it online, you could have done that at your leisure and called back. You did not need to sit there and wank in my ear about how it wasn't dark enough or too dark or what the hell ever, Goldilocks. Call the speaking clock and tell it to someone who cares. Fucker.



Sigh. There were more, but I don't really want to actually try and remember it today. Those were the worst. Um. Hmm. I need to do some writing today, but later. And I should get back on the comp and practice my Russian and my German, since that's what I've decided to start with. And at some point I should practice my French and Spanish. Tomorrow at the very latest. Why yes, I am insane, can't you tell?

Mm. Lunch. But I don't know what I want for lunch. Lunch and bandying words with people some more, then work. Editing, then writing. Finishing up some stories. Should mail them out. No painting today, painting tomorrow. No boom today, boom tomorrow. Always a boom tomorrow.

I'm thinking, now. This is probably a bad thing. Patterns, behavior, analysis. I didn't used to be this bad. Till Sam came into my head. Before that, till I got the anthro degree. Patterns. Thinking. Human behavior and circling around each other before daring to touch. Gods. What a wild ride this is turning out to be.

Right. Definitely time for something to eat before my brain goes any more sploodgy.
