Oogh. I would have updated last night with more about training, but I had a serious case of the dizzies. Not sure if it was the lack of sleep or the lack of iron or the lack of blood sugar. Or a combination of all three. I'm betting on a combination, which I'm trying to rectify today. Going out to Walgreens to get a multivitamin that will provide me with my iron. Eating a good breakfast, a good lunch, and a good dinner. And taking a snack with me to training, a healthy snack. 'cause of the whole trying to keep down artificial sugars thing. No more candy for me.

Anyway. Training was a lot more amusing than I expected it to be, in part because our instructor? SO. GAY. Oh my god. He's almost as bad as Carson on Queer Eye, except he's not quite so sarcastic. He's amazingly gay. And if he's not gay, he's a closet heterosexual. He did make mention of a wife and kids once, but as we all know that doesn't necessarily mean anything. If I had to live where I do I'd keep the fact that I was gay quiet, too.

Work looks incredibly easy, mind-numbing, and comfortable. Casual dress, which means I can wander in in jeans and a t-shirt. Which is teh good. I like jeans and a t-shirt. I'm comfortable that way. No weapons, which ...oops. Forgot to take the knife out of my purse. So that's a pain. But oh well. And an antiquated DOS-based order entry system. Which will take some more getting used to, but hey. It's not like I didn't grow up with DOS, BASIC, and all those other happy ASCII things. Plus we're going at a really slow pace, so hopefully by the time we get to the phones I'll be zipping around on the thing. I'm terrified of the phones. But it's not anything I haven't done before, so hey. Plus, it looks pretty quiet there right now.

Blah. So, yeah. I'm doing call center work, order entry. Taking in called-in orders from catalogs. Rich people catalogs. The kind of catalogs my grandma and grandpa used to get. The Hammacher Schlemmer (sp?), In-Flight Store kinda thing. 80$ for a pillow. Yeah, I rolled my eyes and gaped too. But you know what really amuses me? They have Midnight Syndicate in their catalog. That's a small-ish musical group that does gaming music. Gaming background music. You find them at Gen Con and Origins and such places. I saw that, pointed it out to the boyfriend, and we both had a good laugh. The CD price is only inflated by about 50 cents, too. Sadly, I have all three of their main CDs.

Um. *thinks* For those of you with whom I RP, my schedule will be posted under a friends-lock. Because I'm paranoid like that.

Anyway. That, I think, is about it. Been pretty dull around here still, except for the character drama, of course. Oh man.
