Got two rejections and a letter from the one place that accepted me telling me which issue my story would be in. Woot. Must send out e-mail today with all the details on that. At least the one rejection was a polite "good but not for us" and the other wasn't so much a rejection as a "We're closing, sorry." It's always nice to know it's them and not you.
Theatrical Muse, and other voices
Oh god, the drama. The drama, the angst, the brooding. There's so damn much of it.
Managed to get Mike to actually give in and ask for help. And admit that he is occasionally an idiot and doesn't have all the answers. Which, considering how humbly arrogant he is, is quite the feat. And he is now climbing trees with Ariel, her father, and my lad, so all is good. Johnny was bad, which caused a certain amount of havoc, but that's largely been sorted, or should be by now. The birthday party was hysterical. KITT and Red are going to kill me from the sugar poisoning. If Laurel and Orfeo don't beat me to it first.
He and Daniel are still working things out, but at least now it's less catastrophic-seeming than usual.
Miscellany
Still have the bruise from falling down the stairs. I keep poking at it, not sure why. Mostly because my own bruises fascinate me. Something to do with the pretty rainbow colors. At the moment it's in the yellow and purple stage, which I'm sure you all wanted to know.
This is all.
