Forty five minutes later I have Szechuan Chicken in my belly and I am content. The boyfriend interrupted my Diablo-playing to tell me that we had to make dinner. Bollocks to that! But it was Szechuan Chicken, so I made dinner anyway.

I'm such a lazy person. I like to cook, I really like to cook. I like to nosh on what I'm cooking while I cook with the end result being that I have to make a little extra and feed several people with what I cook or I'll wind up with a lot of food I won't eat. But I'm too lazy to cook half the time. So I end up eating unhealthy things like Fruit Roll-Ups. Somebody shoot me.

So busy this weekend. Game on Friday. Game on Saturday. Friday was the bastard child of Palladium Fantasy and D&D. Saturday was Deadlands. Both rocked and both had their bad points. In Palladium Fantasy, sad to say, what rocked was that I wound up getting a lot of painting done while the Paladin bought slaves who essentially had had their brains sucked out their ears and couldn't remember anything from day to day. He spent about an hour and a half trying to figure out what to do with them. And we had to remind him that they'd need food and clothes and things. I swear, he just doesn't think. Deadlands was a bit cooler. Much more in-game productivity, I nearly died at the hands of a Harrowed (which, since I'm playing Beauty Kincaid, for those of you who remember who she is in my stories, was traumatic) and got to stab a Mormon Elder (but he was an evil Mormon Elder, so it's all good) and pretend to be a witch. While the Mormon witchhunter slowly advanced up the aisle glowing like a holy beacon of ... of holiness. And all this on Easter. It was hilarious.

Plus, there was a really really yummy ice cream cake and people sang Happy Birthday for me and the boyfriend. No, it wasn't my birthday. My birthday is... um. Coming up. What day is it?

And then today there was painting. I sealed Jonas Kane and .. um. Random ranger guy. Yay! And put them on my computer to celebrate my triumph at painting. They actually turned out damn good. And then I touched up and finished the pegasus foal, relegated the Wind Sorceress to the 'paint thinner' pile, and painted Veronica Duskraven and sealed her all in one day. I like the way she turned out; I couldn't figure out if that was a shawl on her shoulders or part of her coat, so I painted it red and made it a shawl and gave it flowers. She really turned out nice. I need to get the digicam working so I can show you all.

Still on a Vin Diesel kick. Spent the better part of Saturday morning giggling over how in The Iron Giant he apparently picked up a rock, brought it into the studio, held it at arms length as thought presenting it to someone, and said, "Rrrroock." In his wonderful rolling honey-sweet deep voice. I love his voice. I want to have sex with it. He's so cool. And highly intelligent, which you wouldn't think to look at him or half his characters. And a damn good actor. And did I mention that I'm still on a Vin Diesel kick? 'cause I am. Tomorrow (since I didn't get out there today) I'm going to go to the library and rent Iron Giant and Pitch Black. Just because. And because I haven't actually seen Iron Giant, everything I know about it is from what other people tell me.

And it's time for an all new Deadwood. Which means I get to obsess about Brad Dourif! Yay! And Timothy Olyphant, why not. Mmmm. Vin Diesel.

Rrrroock.
