Writer's group was interesting. It's once a month, like my library group, at the local Barnes and Nobles. It's led by a category romance novel writer who also worked for the local major publishing company and now does... something.. for B&N. I have it on a business card. And the cool part is that appaently there's going to be a monthly drawing for books. Random books about writing and stuff. Looks like a great deal of fun. And even a little informative, the first meeting was mostly about objectives and lectures, but the next several look like they're going to cover some topics I could use work on. Pacing, for one thing.

Kingdom Hospital was... still weird. No really overt Dark Tower references anymore, although there was something about Beetle Bailey that tickled my memory. I can't think what it might refer to, though. The animals were talking again. The anteater did not say "Ants-olutely." It did other things I won't spoil for you yet. Oh yeah. And there was the phrase "the Emperor of Ice Cream" that somehow reminded me of a combination of my Billy the Nightmare Prince and the Crimson King. So I'm not sure what that's about. Still intrigued enough to watch it. If only to find out what the hell is going on with Dr. ... James. I think. The weird one with the thumb and finger gestures. You'll know what I mean if you've seen the show, if not I won't spoil it for you.

Marathon editing session on Different tomorrow. I'm only on 3 hours out of 100. Feh.

Things only of interest to me, Hat, and the people who know about the voices in our heads )

Mm. I think I'll make an effort to actually go to bed sometime at a decent hour tonight. For a variable value of decent hour. Dammit, Hat, that phrase has infected my brain! :)

Sure. Why not.

1. Does my username suit me? what do you think it means?
2. Is my journal's title cryptic or descriptive? What do you think it means?
3. Does my journal expand your knowledge of me?
4. Do you think my bio describes me well?
5. Which of my interests surprises you the least?
6. Which of my interests surprises you the most?
7. Which of my interests needs explaining?
8. How many of my friends' journals do you read on a regular basis?
9. How many of my friends are strangers to you?
10. Which of my userpics suits me best?

And now for the names. Oh but I have so many of them.

If you know me as...

my real name and you pronounce it correctly, you're family.

challo or chario you're my mother's family or my mother, since only they call me that.

my real name and some fanciful mispronunciation thereof, you're one of my oldest friends. And you should get in touch with me because I haven't seen you in ages.

Jag, you're part of my college crowd. Hey, guys, how's it going?

Jaguar, with appelations of Lady, you're part of the Serpent Stone crowd, or satellite groups thereof.

Jag GoldenEyes you're part of the more eclectic Jersey crowd whom I also haven't seen in an age.

Drucilla, or Dru you're part of the IRC/Shadowrun/convention crowd. Or you're my ex, who hates me.

Rose you're part of the Ohio crowd.

Kitty you're part of my latest group of LiveJournal friends. Hey you guys!

and, last but certainly not least,

she, or my Lady you're one of the voices in my head. Which makes sense if you're me or anyone else who frequents [livejournal.com profile] voluntary_did, but probably not to anyone else. Don't worry, I am sane, just weird.
