I wonder if I would be more motivated to go for walkies if I had R. Lee Ermey walking behind me calling me 'maggot' and other unsavory things. Probably. No matter how freezing it is.
On the plus side, I found my chapstick when I went out today.
No I will not take that stupid US code quiz. Dammit.
I still find it kind of amusing and kind of intriguing that, since I saw the blowing his brains out scene first, I've never been able to watch Full Metal Jacket in its entirety. I'm not sure why. I get about fifteen minutes in and then something about watching Vincent D'Onofrio look like the eighth day of a seven day leave, with his eyes all aglow with healthy psychopath glee... and I just know he's going to pop. And something about that just makes me shudder and turn away from the television. The cable channels here have been playing it on and off for very nearly a month. I'm sure I've seen every scene in it, just... not in consecutive order. Huh.
I'll bet you're the kind of guy that would fuck a person in the ass and not even have the goddam common courtesy to give him a reach-around.
I need to tell someone that someday.
I also need to get off of livejournal and go write my words for the day. Hell, I need to finish my nightmare story. But my brain hasn't fully kicked into gear yet. Or rather it has, but it's kicked into a very odd gear. Then again, maybe Gunnery Sergeant Hartmann, Drill Instructor really is the stuff of nightmares. So maybe it's not entirely inappropriate after all.
