"Plus ca change..."
Oct. 23rd, 2003 08:22 pmIt's very nice talking to Wyld again. It's... comfy. Old fiend kind of comfy. We've known each other for around six years or so. Talked on and off.. we go through spates where we won't talk to each other for a few months for whatever reason and then all of a sudden one of us will find the other's e-mail or AIM nick or something and we'll just sort of pick up where we left off. It's great. I wonder if I can slip up and visit him while I'm home for the holidays. Then again I guess that also depends on where in Jersey or New York he is. Hoom. There's a thought.
Which is funny 'cause it's only been a year since I've actually gone and visited him. And before that it was a few years since I'd made regular trips to Jersey. Hmm. Actually, thinking of things I haven't done in a while, I wonder if I can hit the theatre when I'm home.
Yeah. Anyway.
Today was quite fun. Went out to see Kill Bill Vol. 1, which was happily messy and violent and relatively plotless but very pretty. Very very pretty. The sound track was occasionally grating though. Also went to the half-price bookstore and picked up a bunch of old Anne Perrys for ... like, a buck fifty a piece. I love used bookstores. Good books for very cheap. Two Charlotte Pitts and one William Monk. The first William Monk, actually, since I haven't read those yet. I figure I'll start collecting those too.
And now I'm curled up at home with a bottle of milk, a baggie of cookies from the boyfriend's father's baking and a bottle of aleve. Since, guess what? It's that time of the month again. I hate my uterus sometimes.
Yes, I'm sure you all really wanted to know that. Then again... Isn't it all girls on my friends' list? Something like that. Except Sam. Poor Sam. :)
Off to do my words for the evening!
I'm happy.
