An important and significant distinction. And yes, yes it does. XD And I have a relatively unusual work situation so for me, the appearance of organization comes about when I spout off facts and status reports for orders, rather than the state of my desk. As you say, if it works!
I've been meaning to get one for years, but this I think will be the kick of paranoia that actually gets me doing it. Mostly just those things, I think, and my notarized copy of my name change document. I'd put my passport in if I had one, but I haven't traveled overseas in over ten years. And maybe if you're going to have an in-house lockbox, any statements of debts completely paid off (that one I got from my grandfather, and especially with unscrupulous debt collectors that's one of the things I want to organize for) and anything on the list of identity verification for jobs, passports, etc. I don't even know what's on there right now, it keeps changing with new security standards, but they should have the updated version online.
Yeah, I don't know that I would ever rent to strangers on AirBNB. But to a friend for a couple months at least, we'll see how her plans shake out for longer, I don't mind if the boy doesn't mind, which he says he doesn't. And more than that he made noises about well if she doesn't find a job that'll pay for a place immediately after graduating we're not going to kick her out! All indignant. Like he does with the feral cats. He's such a softy.
Well, an ordinary safe isn't too horrible, although if you have lifting and carrying issues I still wouldn't just to be safe? But I'm (mostly) fine and fit, I could. But a fireproof safe, which should also be waterproof just in case of fire hoses and sprinklers... well, the first one that came up on google shopping is about a foot cubed and has a shipping weight of 85lbs. Probably about 10lbs of that is packaging but still. Eek.
Yeah, I have exactly one piece of jewelry that I'd consider "valuable" and it's less a monetary immediately apparent value and more, this is a star-of-david necklace handed down from my grandparents' grandfather that probably came over from Eastern Europe. And the rest is fun etsy stuff. I'm not very fashionable either. Or very grown-up, before I decided to change that it was shapeless jeans and t-shirts for me. :D
