Talking about preferences: The idiom for 'prefers' is fearr le; would prefer is expressed by replacing 'is' with 'ba', which causes lenition. Remember that lenition makes the f silent, so b'fhearr is pronounced 'beár'

B'fhearr liom tae. I would prefer tea.
B'fhearr liom arán. I would prefer bread.

Corresponding to ba are three forms which end in r: níor (negative), ar (question), and nár (negative question). These three forms add bh before a vowel or fh.

Arbh fhearr leat cupán tae? Would you prefer a cup of tea?
Nárbh fhearr leat? Wouldn't you prefer...?
B'fhearr. Yes.
Níorbh fhearr. No.

Use ná to separate the things you are choosing between.

B'fhearr liom tae ná caifé. I would prefer tea to coffee.
...arán ná císte. ...bread to cake.
...beoir ná fíon. ...beer to wine.
...iasc ná feoil. ...fish to meat.
...sicín ná bagún. ...chicken to bacon.

Cé acu (which (of two))
You can invite a choice between two things offered by using cé (which, who) and acu (of them, the third person plural of ag).

Well, that was a somewhat crazy thing I did. I hadn't realized that novel was about 8 years old, but apparently it is! Which makes me doubly glad I sent it off to that one person without looking because if I'd looked, I would have found half a dozen things wrong with it. Today, more Haven and finishing up that post, probably. I should have rewatched a couple episodes, but maybe I can chunk out a draft regardless and double check a couple of things when I get home, before posting. Coding the website between that; A number of things are actually up, more than I expected, which means I'm pretty much down to getting the front page done and then tidying up the corners? That's a bit terrifying. And at some point I need to actually get my ass over somewhere and take an author portrait. That comes later, though. Much, much later. Right now, more Haven, more coding, and then in the evening more gnawing on Reese's hindquarters. I have the sneaking suspicion I'm missing huge chunks of things, although that might be because the episode really is that simple and also I hadn't gotten to the in-depth part yet. Apparently that was all saved for Anna! Oops. >.>

If I'm very, very lucky, today will be as productive as yesterday. Preferably writingwise for blogwork, but I'll accept really any kind of productivity right now. As long as it keeps me going forward. Today's incoming doesn't look too bad, not sure about the outgoing. So at least there's that. Hopefully ... something. Hopefully I can get everything done that I want to do? At least blogwork today, because website is almost entirely coded (when the fuck did that happen again?) and line edits can wait another day or so till we get something of a backlog. Say, by this weekend, so I don't put off line edits forever. Again. Because I do that.
