It's a thing! My brain is still exploded. I think the search engines use tag filters for that. Or I could be wrong and it could be an entirely different thing on another system, and they could have redundant systems!
Although that doesn't help when out of the three Dwight fics on AO3, one of them is mine, one of them is a complete AU, and one of them is Dwight as an intro to relatively explicit Nathan/Duke. ARGH.
