Úna: Cén post atá agat? What do you work at/what post do you hold?
Niall: Is fear poist mé. I am a postman.
Úna: Cén t-am a thosaíonn tú ag obair ar maidin?
Niall: Tosaím ar a sé a chlog.
Úna: Tá sé sin luath go leor. Agus cén t-am a chríochnaíonn tú?
Niall: Críochnaím ar a dó a chlog.

Úna: Cén post atá agat? What post do you hold?
Dónall: Is feirmeoir mé. I am a farmer.
Úna: Cén t-am a éiríonn tú ar maidin?
Dónall: Éirím ar a leathuair tar éis a sé nó tamallín.
Úna: Cad a dhéanann tú ansin?
Dónall: Téim amach agus crúim na ba.
Úna: Cén t-am a chríochnaíonn tú?
Dónall: Ó, bhuel, ní chríochnaím go dtí thart ar a naoi a chlog sa tráthnóna.

Úna: Cén tslí bheatha atá agat?
Siobhán: Is banaltra mé.
Úna: An dtosaíonn tú ag obair go luath?
Siobhán: Déanaim. Tosaím ar a hocht a chlog ar maidin.
Úna: Cén t-am a théann tú abhaile?
Siobhán: Téim abhaile ar a hocht a chlog sa tráthnóna de gnáth... ach uaireanta críochnaím ar a ceathar a chlog sa tráthnóna.


I do love it when exercises repeat phrases. Makes it much easier to understand and pick up the meaning. Some hour of the morning/evening, possibly half past the hour, etc. Everything in context!

Ugh, today I went through all the damn parkour, too, because I have sadistic inner drill sergeants who take advantage of my natural competitiveness. And, okay, all the parkour in this case only means going over the benches as well as the stairs and a couple other things but argh. Dripping sweat when I got back. Slightly more than usual.

Now that I've gotten a pile of writing deadlines out of the way I'm going to try and go back to routines, with languages and exercise at the very least. House buying stuff has also dropped down to a trickle of activity and logistics and if I'm very, very lucky, it'll pick back up again only to surge that last little bit to completion. And then we'll have a couple more months in the apartment while contractors swarm all over my house, but at least I'll know it's my damn house.

Ahem. I suppose getting back to things means getting back to doing my dance exercises, too. Right, then!
